Capathia Jenkins and Louis return to Birdland to launch their newest recording, PHENOMENAL WOMAN:The Maya Angelou Songs (Di-tone Records), the critically acclaimed song cycle composed and arranged by Louis specifically for Capathia.

To perform these jazzy, blues-based, soul infused, classically tinged compositions, the Jenkins/Rosen collaboration is joined at Birdland by a terrific New York sextet including pianist Kimberly Grigsby; CJ Camerieri on trumpet and French horn; Hideaki Aomori on alto & tenor saxophones, flute, clarinet and bass clarinet; Andy Blanco on vibraphone; Dave Phillips on acoustic and electric bass and Gary Seligson on drums.
